I have been preparing all my life for the right opportunity, but it hasn’t come yet. I force myself every day to be patient, keep my head down, and do the work. All I know to do is learn and work every day so that when my moment comes, I am ready. I have faith that what is mine will find me, and it needs to find me prepared.
I have no control over how the future will unfold, or what gifts it will bring, but I can control the amount of effort and work I put into my preparation. Sometimes, when I’m alone, I forget my own advice, and start doubting my destination, only because I haven’t reached it yet. My doubts come and go, but the results of my work stay with me forever.
Day by day I draw knowledge from every experience, learning all that I am ready to learn, working to become a better person, and moving along the path laid in front of me. The unknown part of the journey frightens me, but at the same time, it keeps things interesting. I do my best to be open up to what life offers so that I can benefit and learn the most from my experiences. It doesn’t always work out for the best, but it’s still worth doing.
Each new day should be a new beginning, but unfortunately, for many of us, it’s not, because we chose to carry over the burdens of yesterday. I have decided not to do this. Every time I wake up, I get a new chance at a life full of possibilities, a life that’s not constrained by the limitations of the previous day.
We are all capable to change ourselves, and our circumstances, even if we don’t even believe it is possible. Make a decision today to start moving towards a place that is past your current situation, and carry this image in your mind all the time. This simple action will start creating connections in your mind that can point you in the right direction.
The person you were yesterday is already gone. All that is left behind are a bunch of memories, and only some can be trusted. Make today’s choices so they take you closer to the person you want to become. Today is the day you choose who you are, and who you want to be for the rest of your life.
